Fabian Wehnert

Studied political science, history and economics in Munich, York (UK) and Bruges (B). Following roles in a media company, a management consultancy, the Bundestag and at interest groups. He has been with the Federation of German Industries (BDI) since 2015. Has worked for many years on issues with regard to “Mittelstand” and family business. Has been responsible for security and defence since January 2026. Current focus is on cooperation between the civilian economy and the security and defence industry. Born in December 1967 in Sonthofen (Allgäu); married, with four children.
